Here we present the list of worldwide most charitable celebrities according to the Dosomething.org’s recent announced list of the most charitable twenty celebrities for the year 2012. Dosomething.org is a nonprofit organization, which focuses on the energy of teenagers and makes good use of it on their desired wishes. Here is the top 10 Celebs Gone Good of 2012. The singer Taylor Swift tops the list this year.
1. Taylor Swift
American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift is not only one of the richest celebrities, she is also one of the most giving. The 23-year-old topped DoSomething.org’s list of most-charitable celebrities, thanks to the multiple donations she’s given to worthwhile causes in the past year. The songstress gave $4 million to the Country Music Hall of Fame, as part of the iconic landmark’s $75 million expansion project. Taylor’s gift will go towards a new wing, named the Taylor Swift Education Center, which will include classrooms and an exhibit space geared especially towards children. Taylor Swift has spent countless hours visiting the cancer patients. She is also the youngest person to obtain the Ripple of Hope Award from the Robert F Kennedy Center. Taylor Swift is quite a generous person.
2. Miley Cyrus
The American actress and singer-songwriter, Miley Cyrus is at number two. The Hannah Montana star is always in news as usual. But this time, she is on the list for being the second most charitable person of the year 2012 after Taylor Swift. All the year round, she is promoting the Saving Spot Rescue, which is a nonprofit organization. It finds dogs from high kill shelters and gives them a home. She also has participated in numerous activities. She has been actively supporting the: Save the Music Foundation, Starkey Hearing Foundation, Make A Wish Foundation. She also took the TOM’s one day without shoes challenge.
3. Channing Tatum
American actor, film producer Channing Tatum best known for his roles in Step Up, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Dear John, The Vow, 21 Jump Street, and Magic Mike. He is is at number three among the most charitable celeberities. Moreover, he was also the most charitable male celebrity. He has raised millions of dollars for Rain Forest Foundation in April. He has recently married Jenna Dewan. She is pregnant now. They are supporting the Angels for Animals as well as Gentle Barn, which supports abused farm animals.
4. Lady Gaga
American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, activist, businesswoman, fashion designer, actress, philanthropist, known by her stage name Lady Gaga is at number 4. Gaga has a sold-out world tour and 32 million little monsters RTing her more than anyone on the planet. But, fame hasn’t made her a monster. With a $1.2 million personal donation, Gaga started her Born This Way Foundation, which combats bullying and promotes acceptance of the LGBT community. And, in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the she pledged $1 million to relief efforts.

Canadian pop artist Justin Bieber has raised one million dollars from his Believe Charity Drive. It is a charity organization. He is also collaborating with Pencils of Promise for constructing schools in poverty stricken countries. He visits the cancer patients and has also donated 100,000 dollars to street kids, so they can attend school.
6. Robin Roberts
American television broadcaster, the anchor of ABC’s morning show Good Morning America, Robin Roberts is at 6. She has used her battle with myelodysplastic syndrome (once called pre-leukemia) to shine a light on bone cancer. She teamed up with BeTheMatch.org to spread awareness about bone marrow donation. Roberts’ 30-second TV spot on “Good Morning America,” her radio PSA, along with several ads saw over 44,000 people join the registry.

In 2000, she released her first single “There You Go”, from her debut album Can’t Take Me Home. The “Try” singer is a rock star in every sense of the word. And her second-annual UNICEF charity concert raised $200,000 for kids in Africa. Needless to say, we love her like her all time.

Jay headlined a benefit performance at Carnegie Hall and supports underprivileged students through his Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. Bey’s Survivor Foundation assists victims of disasters, along with AIDS patients and the homeless. Her $5 million housing project will create 43 permanent housing units in her hometown of Houston.
